J & J Agricultural Company Limited (J&J ACL) is a Medium Scale Private Company, established and incorporated in Tanzania in October 2019 under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 212) with a Certificate of Incorporation No. 140114502. The headquarters of J & J ACL are at Mlandizi Township, 61203 Kaloleni (Janga) area, Kibaha Rural District in the Coast region. Management of day-to-day activities is under the mandate of the Company Businesses Manager (CBM) supported by Heads of various Departments and Units. The CBM is in terms of the policy measures and business strategies and is responsible to the Board of Directors. The initial core business of the company was to engage in mixed agricultural and farming activities of every description but depending on rainfalls and the rearing of several types of livestock and poultry flocks. The government policy on private sector promotion and trade and investment liberalization has provided an ever attractive and conducive environment for small business operations, hence sparkling unprecedented market growth, particularly in the agricultural industry. Given this circumstance, J&J Agricultural Company Limited had to leverage its agribusiness edge by continually expanding the farming area through the acquisition of more acres of land and facilities with the construction of natural water dams and ponds for irrigation reservoirs, fishing activities, and rearing of several types of livestock. The activities encompass the cultivation and plantation of paddy, maize, Lentil, vegetables, fruits (bananas, watermelons, mango, pawpaw, oranges, to mention a few) under irrigation schemes and increase the size of livestock herd. Our farming campsite is located at Kitomondo village, Ruvu basin, Kibaha Rural District in Coast Region, 70 Kms from Dar Es Salaam city, driving along the main outgoing Morogoro highway from the city to the upcountry regions up to Mlandizi township and get off the highway towards the left side. To the North, the site is about 800 meters from the Ruvu river is the main source of water for farming activities and human uses in the surrounding areas.
