BAISTAR ADVOCATES is among the most respected law firms in Tanzania. The firm was founded in November 2015. MBWILO ADVOCATES was the former trading name and in 2019 changed to BAISTAR ADVOCATES. Within a period since its registration, the firm has rapidly grown due to its composition of staff members comprised of senior practitioners and young energetic lawyers from various law firms and with different specializations.

Our success is based on unprecedented, accumulated experience in dealing with legal issues, negotiation, arbitration, litigation, and availability to our clients to answer all inquiries and provide high-quality services to meet client’s interests and build a strong and long-term relationship.

Our team is composed of Managing Partners, Associate Partners,  Associates, Legal officers, and other non-lawyers supporting staff like  Accountants, secretaries, office assistants, and a driver.  We also have  interns who have graduated but are not yet to go to the Law School of  Tanzania and field students who are from the Law School of Tanzania and undergraduate studies. We usually take four interns and five field  students every year to ensure that we prepare the next generation of lawyers to be acquainted with both legal theory and practice. This practice enabled us to identify competent lawyers we retain and  train until they become advocates and 90% of our staff were obtained through these programs. Therefore, we fully and responsibly pass on knowledge to the next generation.
